What We Do

PLEASE NOTE: during to the coronavirus outbreak in the US, some of these activities and outreach options have been postponed. For more information on worship and outreach during the pandemic, please contact Fr. Lee.

Saint Aidan’s Anglican Church is dedicated bringing God’s kingdom here on earth.  To do this, we participate in a number of activities to be available and accountable to God, to each other, and to our neighbors.

Worship
At St. Aidan’s, we have weekly worship at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

St. Aidan’s hosts a Spanish-language service, La Comunidad de la Santa Cruz, Sunday evenings at 4pm.

We also hold occasional services to celebrate holy days or to celebrate saints.

A nursery is available for children who are crawling to age 4 during all church worship services.

In addition, each family at St. Aidan’s is encouraged to participate in short daily morning, noon, and evening prayer at home.

Study
We have Reading Groups that meet twice each month to study, pray and fellowship. The Reading Groups are open to anyone who wishes to join. The curriculum changes throughout the year, so visit our Reading Groups PAGE for up-to-date information & to sign-up!

We also host special studies and  retreats for adult formation throughout the year.

Fellowship
The first Sunday of each month is “Potluck” day at St. Aidan’s.  Each family brings a meal to share and there are sometimes even themes for the meals.

We also have a Community Meal on the 3rd Wednesday each month, open to everyone. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. and available until 7:00 p.m. Guests can also sign-up for our monthly food box distribution during this meal.

Service
St. Aidan’s partners with the Jessamine County Food Pantry to distribute food on the third Thursday of each month.

St. Aidan’s shares a meal with the local homeless shelter each month.

Clare’s Corner offers space for anyone in the community to exchange or recieve gently used children’s clothing, infant through school-age. For more information, contact Jessica – 859.553.0146

Our annual Bazaar is held each June to let us meet and serve our neighbors.  There is free food, children’s activities, and sno-cones as well as a cheap yard sale with proceeds benefiting a local non-profit group.
